Hello Cleveland! My name is Moe Taylor and I’d like to take this time to introduce you to my studio, BrainDagger Films. We are a pro-bono, Cleveland-based, film/television/music studio run by creative volunteers from all backgrounds of the artistic community. We provide art for causes, events, non-profits, bands, businesses, etc., we find interesting, entertaining, or thought-provoking. We operate with the intention of helping people understand others they don't get along with, nature, science, and the world around them with a comedic twist. Misinformation has caused more death and destruction than anything else in the history of humankind! Our motto stands as a simple truth, STOP HATING PEOPLE BEFORE YOU MEET THEM!!! As you may have heard we are embarking on a year-long film project with local legend Tim Misny to tell his life story in a mockumentary format, think Spinal Tap, Documentary Now, Weird Al biopic. This is a movie about Misny yes, but it's about Cleveland even more so as we invite everyone to be a part of this and enjoy the fun, we will need small businesses, actors, musicians and artists of all ilks to make this happen in a fun format that can really define Cleveland culture. We will be keeping you updated on our progress the first week of every month here in our favorite publication, Cleveland Scene! Now I’m going to let the main team members introduce themselves. You can find out more about us at www.braindaggerfilms.com and make sure to follow us on Instagram @braindagger_films.

Hey sports fans! How you doing? And of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t wish you a belated Happy New Year!
This time of the year is a time when I contemplate the previous year and think about the new year. In doing so, I try to prioritize my goals. I like to write them down, put them in an envelope and slide them into my top desk drawer. On December 31, I will pull it out and grade my performance on several levels.
First and foremost, is family matters. That, as you know, can be the toughest simply because a lot of what our kids do is outside of our control. But not withstanding that, we have to be consistent in our approach and maintain an eye on the prize. The end goal never changes, i.e. to get to the top of the hill, but the path we take oftentimes does change.
My second area of analysis is personal growth. I am constantly striving to be a better man, spiritually and physically. I think that has a lot to do with how we interact with other people, whether it’s family, friends, neighbors, clients and or business associates. If one’s “temple” is in disarray, it really makes it pretty tough to have a meaningful, productive and respectful relationship with other people.
My third level of analysis has to do with professional matters. I have had the pleasure and privilege of representing the injured victim and their families for 44 years! I must say it really seems like someone hit the fast forward button and has never let up. But one thing remains consistent, and that is change is inevitable.
The most successful people I have known anticipate change and gear up ahead of the competition. It’s kind of like when you realize that you have a bad sunburn and/or or you are dehydrated, it’s too late to do anything about it.
The law is constantly evolving. Both in terms of case law, i.e. court decisions, and new areas of practice such as the emergence of new potential claims against pharmaceutical companies.
To be an effective advocate, one MUST BE at the cutting edge. This requires a concerted effort to become “an expert” on the fly, if you will.
The marketing of my practice is an ever-evolving discipline. I tell people that when I was a young lawyer, in the early ‘80s, I would typically walk around with a pocket full of quarters because I would rely on pay phones to communicate with clients, and/or my office when I was out and about. Now, I can run things as long as I have my phone in hand.
This year, as you know, we are embarking on a exciting new project, Misny The Movie. My hope is that this will inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to reach their full potential in life, whatever it may be. We are currently in the pre-production stages outlining, writing and strategizing.
I have found this to be a catharsis. Additionally, anytime you do an introspective of your life, it really puts things into focus.
We will keep you posted on all new developments.
Make it the best year of your life! I know you can do it!

From the desk of David Kovatch, the Sacred Vortex. Production Hub and BrainDagger Films HQ
Happy New Year, everyone! My name is David Kovatch, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the founder of Ohio’s very first kava bar and the proud owner of The Sacred Vortex Teahouse and Kombuchery, located in the heart of Ohio City. Being part of this vibrant and growing community is one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I’m immensely grateful for the love, connection, and shared purpose that continues to flourish here.
2024 was an unforgettable year of transformation and opportunity. I had the rare privilege of revitalizing a historic Cleveland building, formerly a brewery, and turning it into the largest non-alcoholic gathering space in the state of Ohio! Our space is more than just a teahouse—it’s a sanctuary for healing, a hub for creativity, and a place where people from all walks of life can come together to celebrate diversity, forge meaningful relationships, and embark on their own journeys of growth and self-discovery.
At Sacred Vortex, we are committed to creating a sober, safe, and welcoming environment. We embrace everyone with open arms, fostering a loving, conscious community that is inclusive, nonjudgmental, and dedicated to collective and individual healing. It is our mission to provide a space where people can truly feel seen, supported, and empowered to become the best versions of themselves.
In addition to the transformative atmosphere we’re building, we are also innovating in the realm of non-alcoholic beverages. We are developing revolutionary new concoctions infused with ancient herbs that are designed to optimize the mind, body, and soul. These drinks are more than just refreshments—they’re intentional creations crafted to help you feel your best while enhancing connection and wellness. From our artisanal kombucha to seltzer-based euphoric blends, every sip is a celebration of natural healing and balance.
We are also honored to collaborate with BrainDagger Films, a trailblazing production company known for its incredibly thought-provoking and creative work. Our space now serves as their world headquarters, and we are ecstatic to be part of their journey, combining the arts of storytelling and community-building to inspire and innovate. Together, we are creating something new, bold, and extraordinary.
Our calendar of events reflects our mission to nurture personal healing, expansion, and artistic expression. Whether through music, singing, art, yoga, guided meditations, Sacred Vortex is a space where your soul can flourish. We invite you to follow us on Instagram and Facebook (@SacredVortexTeahouse) and visit our website, www.thesacredvortex.com, to stay connected and explore our ever-evolving lineup of events and offerings.
Here’s to another year of growth, connection, and transformation. Let’s continue building a community rooted in love, understanding, and shared purpose. As we step into 2025, I raise my shell of kava to each of you in gratitude and celebration. Bula! To long life, good health, and an abundance of joy,
@SacredVortexTeahouse

From the desk of Matt Klesel, Producer for BrainDagger Films
Nice to meet you Cleveland, I’m Matt Klesel.
First and foremost, I don’t belong here among these other folks, this all started out the side of a mountain on a barstool 10 to 12 years ago and I have little to no formal training in this stuff, I was born here at St. John West Shore in the latest of the 80’s and lived almost everywhere along the lakeshore growing up, from Painesville to Elyria and 18 different schools between kindergarten and high school.
Scraping through my mid-late twenties in the service industry; the same typical fashion as most individuals chewed up and spit out by the oh-so-familiar beast. My son was now on the way(he’s now 8 and the light of my life) and there was really no end in sight. It seemed like the health insurance-less grind of working for the mom-and-pop shops of every dead-end thing I could do to keep my head above water. Then Moe calls out of the blue and said that barstool dream had come to fruition and he was starting up this film company and we were gonna start debuting some short documentaries and films in festivals and I was gonna have to start talking them up and holding a camera here and there. A few months later I was doing just that and over the next few years it slowly started to add up into this collection of experiences that still leaves me with imposter syndrome every time I sit down to reflect on how this whole journey started on the slopes of Keystone, Colorado and took us all the way down to the beaches of Costa Rica for a couple months of filming some wild other wild adventures.
Over the next few months were going to be telling the riveting tale of Tim Misnys life through a series of short skits and stories woven masterfully together by Moe Taylor of Cleveland's own Brain Dagger Films, working with a couple of our local friends and artists we’re going to be putting on some fun events while we shoot his life biopic, an homage to comedy greats, and a metal show all wrapped into one at the 5’O Clock Lounge on March 29th, 2025.
Featuring Ignominious, Inducing Panic, HAMS, and The Stroppers, with a special appearance by the man HIMSELF, Tim Misny. We’re also going to be donating all of our Misny merch sales from the show to The Cleveland City Mission, we will also have A New Leash On Life, another Northeast Ohio Charity Organization that helps at-risk animals find their forever home on site as well. In between filming projects I also work at Ford Motors, in Avon Lake, and play a lot of Magic the Gathering and according to my son I'm a master of video games.

From the desk of Kayla Watson, Merchandising Department
My name is Kayla Payne (Watson) I own W.I.T.C.H Apparel & Keepsakes (currently online). W.I.T.C.H stands for "woman in total control of herself". I am a mother of 5 beautiful children. I have endured like many others incredible pain, abuse, the loss of a child and several loved ones, addiction and the hardest of hurdles and even harder lessons. but despite the amount of weight that holds over me most days I would like to believe that with my own self-transparency and a hell of a lot of believing in myself I am a woman with an unsinkable soul, and I chose to have total control over not only myself but my mind, my spirit, my body and my abilities. This is why I created my brand and my business not just to make simple pieces of clothing or trinkets but through my artistic abilities I want to be able to continue making things that are truly meaningful to others like memory pillows from a loved one's favorite outfit that gives you that throat closing tear jerking heartwarming wholeness, or a special keepsake that makes you smile every time you look at it, or that amazing outfit that makes you feel confident and empowered to conquer your day while you're out and about. The items are limitless. Everyone faces obstacles in life, some are tiny hurdles that may trip you up for a time, others loom like ominous clouds. how you handle these obstacles determines whether you will live with fear, regret, and anger or faith, acceptance and joy. I want to be a fountain, a pillar of hope for other women to believe in themselves no matter the pain and struggles they have been through and follow their dreams and live to their full potentials because I believe in you! creating my business and pushing through all the hardships and gaining so much experience it has brought me has given me a renewed strength and appreciation for life, myself and others I cross along this path I am on. I want to be someone my kids are proud of, someone that shows them never to give up on your dreams no matter how big or small and to always stay humble and helpful to others by believing in the strengths of others we can make anything possible. soooo from yours truly at W.I.T.C.H Apparel & Keepsakes "Embrace your power and own your individuality" let's create magical things together.
